“My preoccupation with food and my overeating have diminished significantly.”

Renee’s Intuitive Eating workshop has made a huge impact on my life. Prior to the workshop, I was stuck on a 3+ year diet-binge-diet cycle. I used food to cope with a stressful job and cross-country move and as a result gained weight. I started bouncing from one fad diet to another and eventually became preoccupied with food. I also began binge eating whenever I “failed” at following a new diet precisely. It was a miserable experience.

With the help of Renee’s workshop, I have slowly learned how to reject the diet mentality, allow my internal cues to guide my eating choices and better identify when I am using food to cope with uncomfortable emotions. As a result, my preoccupation with food and my overeating have diminished significantly.

Moreover, I have been able to shift my focus from food and eating to other parts of my life such as my relationships, finding a new job and other life goals.

I really think anyone living in today’s diet-obsessed world could benefit from taking such a workshop. Thanks Renee! —Nina B.

“A safe space to talk freely about food and body issues.”

It provided a safe space to talk freely about food and body issues—to confide in and receive support from people from all walks of life who struggle with the same issues (e.g., dieting failures, body shame, food guilt, low self-esteem due to all of the above) that are so pervasive and entrenched in our society, and yet so difficult to confront in our daily lives.

The impact has been that I have greater awareness about my relationship with food and deeper resolve to take care of myself more holistically. —S.Y.

“A process that helps you heal your relationship with your body, listen to your body and respect your body.”

First and foremost, if you are thinking about joining....DO IT. You won't regret it.

The Intuitive Eating model as a whole was new to me but it was empowering to have research, a book, and my group mates to talk about our thoughts/feelings about diet culture/the diet world/the world we live in and feel validated in my thoughts/feelings and realize I'm not alone. Meeting weekly as a group helped keep me accountable and made me prioritize this work and myself.

This is not a weight loss program, it is not a quick fix. Renee guides you through a process that helps you heal your relationship with your body, listen to your body and respect your body.

I would describe this experience as empowering, vulnerable and validating. It has been truly transformational for me. —Lisa S.
